Summer Newsletter - 2008

Yes it is holiday season, a time to reflect on 2007 and a time to make plans for 2008.

Prime Lamb prices remain strong for all producers even allowing for the drought conditions we all have suffered in 2007.

Wool producers are also being rewarded finally, for their years of effort and we all hope that the price continues to improve further.

Rain has hit many parts of the Riverina and Central New South Wales which relieves for a lot of us any thoughts of having to cart water which we had to do this time last year to keep our young mobs alive.

With Autumn lambing now on all our minds, it is time again to be thinking Border Rams for your 2008 jobs.

At Wattle Farm Borders have quality rams available to you. The rams are all Cadell Bloodline and are in prime condition, fully vaccinated, all foot rot and brucellosis free and all have been Gudair vaccinated.

All rams have sheep genetics figures available and we welcome any clients to our property to inspect our rams and facilities.

Please fee free to call and discuss your Border Ram requirements for Autumn 2008 with me. You won't be disappointed.

Summer Newsletter - 2007

The Sutton family has a long history spanning several generations in the Riverina and it was with this in mind that we decided it was the right time to return to invest in Temora and the Australian Sheep Industry.

Wattle Farm Border Leicester Stud was established in 2005 by Jeff, Reg and Marie Sutton to meet the growing demand for quality Border Leicester flock and Stud rams in the Riverina and Australia wide.

The Foundation stock of Wattle Farm Border Leicester Stud was purchased from the highly regarded Cadell Stud of Ariah Park which assured us of a quality breeding line.

At Wattle Farm we aim to breed Broder Leicesters that have a strong constitution, growth, length, muscling and fertility to ensure that the sheep farming community receive quality sound performing rams for cross breeding purposes or, for the enhancement of there own stud quality flocks.

You can be assured when buying rams from Wattle Farm that they are breed to perform, are of exceptional quality, are of proper confirmation with proven genetics.

All our Border Leicesters are OJD vaccinates, are regularly drenched and have been vaccinated at least twice in the last 12 months with 6-1.

We are delighted with the quality of our ram and ewe lambs on the ground from the 2006 lambing season and invite all our clients to make an inspection of the 2006 progeny.

With the drought to break sooner than later (we hope), please feel free to contact me to discuss your spring Border Ram requirements.

Where are we? From Temora travel west along the Burley Griffin Way for 6 kilometres and turn left into Glynburn Road follow for 5 kilometres until you get to the two green gates on your right.

Winter Newsletter - 2007

Well, it has been a long time coming and the question is simple, "Have you had rain and how much?"

At Temora we have, and it was great but we need more.

With the seasonal conditions changing for the better, we are all starting to think about sheep and our ram requirements for the upcoming season.

At Wattle Farm, we aim to breed Border Leicester Rams that have a strong constitution, growth, length, muscling and fertility to ensure that the sheep farming community received sound performing rams for cross-breeding purposes or for the enhancement of their own quality flocks.

We are delighted with the quality of our rams which will be up for sale shortly and now invite any interested clients to make contact with us so they can make a personal inspection.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss your spring Border ram requirements.

Where are we? From Temora travel west along Burley Griffin Way 6km and turn left into Glynburn Road, follow for 5km until you get to the two green gates on your right.

We have enclosed a magnet for your fridge for quick access to our details.
